[ Nero looks slightly alarmed at the mention of ghosting, but also quickly moves on from that. Following him into the kitchen, assuming this is Aventurine's place.
He didn't make any other plans for the day, so this is fine. ]
Let's start with the meal.
[ As he starts pulling out the ingredients for Sole Meunière. How does the kitchen look at the moment? ]
( it's clean and organized, because if nothing else, to play the part of owner of this room - which aventurine isn't even entirely pressed about playing pretend, despite all -, he had to learn where everything is, and at least make it prim and proper.
he leans against the counter, arms crossed. literally like the owns the place. )
Knives are over there, ( he points at the knife block, to the left of the sink, ) pans are down here, ( tap tap of his foot against a cabinet next to him, ) there's some seasoning over here, ( cabinet above him, ) and utensils in that drawer. ( mostly cooking chopsticks. even though aventurine is nowhere near asian looking, but don't worry about it. )
Just rummage through the place, if you want. Take whatever you need, if you haven't bought it yet. The kitchen is yours for now, Mr. Chef.
( it's already late in the afternoon when nero receives a message containing only an attachment: the descriptively named IMG_080.PNG.
the picture itself is blurry; a bag of shrimp sits on what is ostensibly a kitchen counter, zoomed in far enough there's little other detail than that. this is fine, because it's also clear that the bag is of live shrimp, freshly caught(? or whatever passes for it), staring beady-eyed from within their watery prison.
no other context provided. sorry! kirma thinks that says enough on its own. )
( wow, you mean to say nero can’t psychically divine where he’s meant to go? smh…
there’s an extended pause, and then, another blurry picture. it appears to be of the hallway outside of the room. most notably, unlike the rest of the resort, all of the potted plants are mysteriously missing. that’s one way to identify a location, anyway. )
Ninth floor. The door is open.
( quite literally; nero will find it wedged open by way of a rolled-up towel. come on in. )
Hasn't he definitely already been here before? He just chalks it up to sharing and thinks "well that's not my business," the way he hopes nobody is looking into his. ]
( and, somehow, this is a familiar scent entering his room, something faint that tugs at the back of his mind. when kirma turns to see nero, a person he has absolutely never met, there’s a clear confusion in the knit of his brow; it quickly fades, though, as he gestures for him to enter properly with a wave of his arm. )
So, you’re— ( eh. what was the username… ) “Entie?”
( … it’s not like he knows what initials are. that’s his best approximation of how TTS chose to read it off before. )
[Not Bradley trying to weasel his way into spa day with Nero.
But yeah he's hanging out by the spa waiting for Nero. He's not dressed up for the occasion or anything though, he looks pretty normal (or well, normal for this place, he doesn't have his standard outfit). No need to be fancy when the clothes will be coming off soon.]
[ Nero's dressed the way he usually is, which means extremely plainly. As a 2 card nobody bothers him on his way over. At least he gets to have a nice and quiet time as he meets Brad there. ]
Ready?
[ He really could use some relaxation after everything that's happened. ]
Of course, with Nero's special VIP pass, they get the best of the best treatment. A helpful worker points out all the options: massage, mud bath, seaweed wraps, facials, waxing, a steam room, and even a 'whirlpool' which is actually just a hot tub they can use. The choices are endless.]
[Bradley is carrying some food with him as he walks over to meet Nero by the fountain. It's not Nero's cooking which is a travesty, but even the chef needs a night off every now and then. He sets the drinks on the fountain as he starts to go through the bag of food.]
They didn't have any of the steamed greens- [A lie, they did, but he doesn't want to eat those.] -but they did have all the toppings for these burgers. I got ya sweet potato fries too.
[That's a vegetable right?
Also he sees Nero's reflection acting strange out of the corner of his eye, but he will wait to see how Nero responds before doing anything about that.]
[ There's a lot of weird things about the resort, but there's also enough oddities back home that reflections being odd is one of the least of their worries. ]
They didn't say anything about being out of veggies.
[ No signs up about it.
Bradley Bain you're over a century old and you won't eat a single vegetable. ]

Nero squints at the picture like he might be able to sus out where he might be... and he can't. Okay.
It's always a pleasure to work with fresh ingredients, even if it's not quite as quick. ]

[They could just cook more but shhhhh he's picking up his own burger to eat once he's handed over Nero's things.]
There's onions on this sandwich anyway, so there: vegetables.
[There is also lettuce and tomato but Bradley hasn't realized that.]
